Things to do in Newbury Park, CA
With its prime Southern California location, Newbury Park offers residents an abundance of things to see and do. The Hope Nature Preserve was named for Bob Hope and covers 360 acres. Here you’ll find incredible views, trails, and wildlife viewing. Other parks in the area include Kimber Park, Borchard Community Park, and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.
Nearby, you will find an abundance of preserved areas and open spaces. Paradise Falls is a 40-foot waterfall surrounded by scenic views and well-maintained trails. Other hiking options include Conejo Canyons, Powerline Trail, Rosewood Trail, Wendy Trail, and Rancho Sierra Vista Park.
Dos Vientos
Newbury Park has a small, newer part of the city known as Dos Vientos featuring roughly 2,300 homes. The biggest draw to Dos Vientos is quiet seclusion and an abundance of community parks. At night it is one of the quietest parts of Ventura County. They have one School for K-8 (
Sycamore Canyon). The community has a small shopping center called "The Village," featuring a grocery store, restaurants, and more!
